Tomato: Brads Black Heart
Name: Tomato 'Brads Black Heart'
Origin: Bred in the US
Brads Black Heart is a very tasty, soft and low acid fruit with a robust flavour that is dark red/brown with green shoulders. It is heart shaped and quite large.
The plant itself must be staked and tied up as it is very weak and cannot hold itself up, especially when loaded with fruit. Any fruit that is near to the ground will usually be eaten by mice as it is so delicious. The plant always looks 'depressed' which is normal and not a worry.
This is one of my favourite tomatoes and goes well with meat on sandwiches
