Origin: Bred in the USA in the 1920s.
A delicious, small pumpkin with an outstanding flavour. Fruits weight 1.5 - 2kg, so perfect for a small family. Sweet, buttery flavour.
When to sow: After risk of frost has passed in spring. Mid October to November in Southern Australia

Uses: Particularly fabulous for baking, when the sweet flavour really comes out.
Growing Conditions: Fertile, well drained soil. Water regularly in summer. The fruits sunburn easily so you may need to cover them with large leaves or pieces of cardboard on hot days. Can be grown over a fence or trellis.
