Lettuce: Camo Oakheart
Name: Camo Oakheart
This is a fun and colourful non-heading lettuce mix for those who love slightly bitter lettuce. I don't think they are supposed to be bitter but in our warm climate they all seem to go that way even though I have tried selecting for non bitter.
Lots of speckles, splashes and colour for salads and sandwiches.
When to sow: Anytime outside of the hottest and coldest times of the year
Plant Type: non-heading leaf lettuce
Uses: Cut the leaves as you like, leaving the plant to grow more to cut later. Great colours for salads.
Growing Conditions: Needs good soil and regular watering in dry weather.
Special Qualities: Being a non-hearting lettuce you can pick leaves as you want them, there is very little waste.
