Origin: Australia. Bred and released by garden Larder in Australia
This is the first zucchini from garden larders breeding program to be released. This is a vigorous bush producing blocky shaped fruit with a very tender, lightly ribbed skin. No need to peel.
When to sow: After risk of frost is over in spring. Mid October to Christmas in Southern Australia. Sow direct in the garden or in punnets and transplant when they are big enough to handle. Do not damage the roots while transplanting.
Plant Type: Bush
Uses: Very sweet when fruits are small and can be eaten raw. Good for sautes, baking, steaming.
Growing Conditions: Needs good, well drained soil. Water regularly in summer when soil is dry.
Pests and Diseases: very few
Special Qualities: large, upright leaves protect the young fruits from the sun.
